Bexley maternity services liaison committee
What is the maternity services liaison committee?
The maternity services liaison committee is a service user group for the public and health professionals to work together to influence maternity services in the NHS Bexley CCG area.
Members include mums, dads, parents to be, grandparents, NHS doctors and midwives from the local area and members of local community groups who provide their services and support to expectant mums and new parents and babies.
Meetings are held monthly in a relaxed atmosphere to encourage people to discuss their experiences. Whether you attend once or every meeting, these opportunities for discussion are invaluable in helping develop maternity services locally.
Why should l get involved?
Being part of the maternity services liaison committee is a great way for you to express your views on the maternity care received during pregnancy, throughout the birth and postnatal care.
There are also opportunities to meet and talk to other parents either individually or in a group setting about your experiences of maternity care in the area.
When and where are the meetings?
The Bexley maternity services liaison committee meets at the Emmanuel playgroup in Hadlow Road, Sidcup, at 1.30pm on the first Friday of every month.
Meet with representatives from the MSLC, share your experiences and find out more about maternity services in Bexley.
