What do health visitors do?


Bexley's health visiting team provides support to children under five and their families.

The service is provided by Oxleas NHS Trust and consists of mixed teams of healthcare assistants, nurses and health visitors who deliver the child health promotion programme to all families in Bexley.


How can health visitors help you?

Health visitors make home visits to parents with new-born babies and can can offer support for:

  • sleep problems
  • breastfeeding
  • domestic violence
  • behaviour management
  • mental health issues and
  • immunisations
