On 1 April 2020, NHS South East London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) was established. The new CCG is made up of the previous six south east London CCGs in Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. Information that has been held previously by those six CCGs transferred to the new CCG on 1 April 2020. The new CCG will become the new controller for the data held by the superseded organisations. How you can get involved

Bexley Patient Council

The patient council gives patients, the public and other stakeholders the opportunity to influence how NHS Bexley Clinical Commissioning Group develops and commissions services.

Its members come from a variety of backgrounds and professions including the community and voluntary sector and meet once a month.

It is a sub-group of NHS Bexley Clinical Commissioning Group's governing body and has one representative on the body who acts as an observer.

It was one of the first patient council’s established by a CCG in London.


Patient Participation Groups (PPGs)

PPGs are groups of patients interested in health and healthcare issues, who want to get involved with and support the running of their local GP practice.

Community engagement

  • Mystery shopper
  • Intergenerational project
  • Engaging with young people (health jury, youth parliament)
  • Engaging with older people (pensioner’s forum, older people’s day and other events)
  • Presentations/attendance at community and voluntary sector forums and groups
  • Attending events, annual general meetings, forums and consultations

Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act gives you the right to ask the NHS for any recorded information they have on any subject.

Anyone can make a request with no restriction on your age, nationality or where you live. If you ask for personal information about yourself, it will be handled as part of the Data Protection Act.

Recorded information includes printed documents, computer files, letters, emails, photographs, and sound or video recordings.
