Pathways to leadership mentoring programme 2019

“Everyone has got a story to tell” (Kim, participant)

Enabling residents and patients to speak up for their community is important to ensure that local voices are heard and taken into account in healthcare commissioning.

To help residents and patients become actively engaged in their community and their local NHS, Bexley CCG has recently introduced a pilot mentoring programme.

The aim of the programme is to develop and support the next generation of patient leaders and lay members in Bexley, who can go on to become active participants and help to influence and improve how health care is delivered.

The programme will run for 6 months, with one learning module per month, followed by a project evaluation.
