Get Involved

Ways to get involved

There are a number of ways in which patients and residents can get involved in their local NHS.

If you:

  • Are a patient and would like to help improve health care services at your GP and in Bexley, then joining your local Patient Participation Group may be for you
  • Are a community organisation or group who meets in the community then contact Lotta, our engagement lead, to arrange for a visit
  • Would like to share your own experiences of health care in Bexley and receive regular updates then becoming a Mystery Shopper may be for you
  • Are an individual who would like to gain more skills and knowledge about the NHS and how to become an active citizen and spokesperson for a community then our Mentoring programme may be for you

Members of our local community are also represented at our Engagement, Equality and Patient Experience Committee (EPEC). EPEC monitor and provide assurance on our engagement and equality work. To inquiry about how to become part of EPEC please contact Annie on 020 8298 6206.

If you have a particular area of interest or would like to be kept informed of news and involvement opportunities then signing up to our Patient Advisory Group mailing list may be for you.

You may also join our Reader’s panel and help ensure our documents are easy to read.

If you have a long term condition and / or have used health services in the last 12 months and would like to share your story with us you can call the Patient Experience Team on 0800 328 9712 or email us at Bexccg.contactus@nhs.net to find out more about our Patient stories.

For more information about any of the groups or ways to get involved in our work, please contact the Patient Experience Team on 0800 328 9712 or email bexccg.contactus@nhs.net.

By getting involved, you can help shape the healthcare services that you use.
